 How to stay safe in a thunderstorm

You need to roll in a ball. 

And never stand up. 

Go in a car or Building.

Don’t go close to metal things.

Take out anything metal in your hand or pocket.

“He loved the sea and loved messing about in boats. One day, he went out in a boat on his own.”	E.g. Dad was feeling happy and excited because he was out on his boat and he loved being on boats.
“He heard a funny bubbling sound”	Oh no!!!
“Oh, No”	Dad could see only a few islands far away on the horizon.
“He put it on and began to swim”	He grad one flipper.
“The sky grew darker and darker”	His body glowing bright green in the black water.
“I hope the glow doesn’t attract the sharks”	Then dad heard a noise.
“That’s the sound of waves breaking”	Crash! Crash! He swam as fast as he could towards the sound.
“Coral! I must be on a reef”	Of coral
“With the last of his strength, he hauled himself up on to the rocks”	Then he collapsed into an exhausted sleep.
“This is a very small island. There doesn’t seem to be anyone else here”	He walked around to the next bay and then he saw another island.
“Dad couldn’t believe he had to go swim again,but he had no choice”	Here I go
“Excuse me can I have a drink of water please”	The end………...

I have moved to a new school and it is so cool.  The best thing ever is to make new friends. 

It is hard but you will make a friend, you just need to believe

Like me, these are my friends. I do have more but they are in a different class. 

Matariki Cloze Activity

Matariki is not only a group of stars it is also the name for the…Maori New Year

You can see the stars for most of the year but they    disappear     from the night sky in Aotearoa, New Zealand in late April and reappear in in late  Winter   May or  early June . When the stars appear     again and the new moon is risen it is the Maori New Year and there is much to celebrate.

The Seven Sisters 

The Matariki group of stars has other names as matariki One of its names is the Seven Sisters. In some stories Matariki is the name of the biggest  star . She is the eldest sister and she guides  her younger sisters to their places in the     sky          .  The old stories tell us that when the stars shine brightly   the year will be warm . There will be   crops       of seafood and plants will grow tall and strong  .

Celebrate

We can  celebrate         Matariki in many ways. It is a time for  sharing       family stories. It is a time for hearing  stories of the old days for learning about how people used the stars in the past. It is a time to  plant   trees and winter    crops   It is a time to fish. This is a time for making things, to learn how to   weave         and carve. It is a time for making and flying  kites    . Matariki is a time to make plans for the   future     and to forgive and forget problems of the    past     . It's a time to enjoy being with our  future    and friends.

Introduction what did covid 19 done to are live it
 change people you have to social Distancing from you friends and it made people sick.

Hygiene 

 what did covid 19 done to people covid 19 is a  virus what so when the covid 19 came to are lives that is when the lockdown happened when it ed will want back to school and that is when everything changed there was not that much people at school at the gate you hat to stop because you had to hand sanitize your hands because you had to take away the germs and when you go in class you have to be two meters away from your friends and you will be separated by your friends on the mat.               

My best memory

My Best Memory

 

         MY best memory was spending time with my family and running with my dogs and cooking with my step mum and my mum. It was so wonderful and creative and every Friday I gave my dogs a spa because they are special to me. When my fantastic cookies were out of the oven, I gobbled them all up.
